Wake me up if I am dreaming! Xbox Developer Direct at last with tons of trailers and a released date for Redfall
Pizza, chips, pajamas, and a friend in headphones that you will soon find in a review coming out in a few days: the perfect quartet to attend the Xbox Developer Direct with which Microsoft finally showed something about its upcoming titles. Forty-five minutes of videos that flew by in half a second, just enough to raise the hype bar in anticipation of learning more about Starfield, one of the great absentees among my most anticipated games of 2023 but which we will still cover in our own time here on Freaking News.
What did Arkane, Turn 10 Studios, Mojang Studios, Zenimax, and Tango Gameworks show us? Below are all the trailers for the games shown during the Xbox Developer Direct.

Minecraft Legends – April 18
Real-time strategy designed for cooperative. Heroes with special powers. It doesn’t sound bad at all even though it’s not for me. However, you should play Minecraft Dungeons! It’s really cool and it’s on Xbox Game Pass.
Forza Motorsport – 2023
Ready, set, start your engines…go. Forza Motorsport needs no introduction. More than five hundred cars, getting filthy as hell, and if you change the muffler it changes the sound of the speedster. Beware of dynamic weather: each lap may be different from the previous one. Success assured.
Hi-Fi Rush – Out Now
The cel-shading style convinces while the writing seems dickish and over the top. At first, I thought of it as a Sunset Overdrive action spin-off. Tango Gamerworks pulls a super interesting action rhythm game out of nowhere (there are even rhythm parries). Surprise of the event. Metal: Hellsinger meets Sunset Overdrive.
Occazzo! (I didn’t feel like translating it from Italian, but it would have sounded as What the fuck?!) It is coming out now so get your Xbox ready.
The Elder Scrolls Online – June 20, 2023
No surprise, I went for a beer to work off the Hi-Fi Rush hype. That’s all I’m thinking about. Break with The Elder Scrolls and then off to the last title of the lot.
Redfall – May 2, 2023
Vampires, blood, silver stakes, horror, a godforsaken island. Am I in hype? With Arkane, I’m always in hype. Immersive sim becomes cooperative.
